New leadership closes out a successful 2017 with client wins and document delivery milestones

NEW YORK, NY – November 27, 2017 – Inlet, a joint venture between Broadridge Financial Solutions and Pitney Bowes, today announced that Christopher Johnson will become Chief Executive Officer effective immediately. Mr. Johnson has been with Inlet as Vice President and General Manager since its formation in 2014. Chuck Cordray, the prior CEO, will stay with Inlet in the new role of Chief Strategy Officer.

“This is the right time for Chris to assume the role of Chief Executive Officer. Inlet has made remarkable progress since our launch and Chris has been an instrumental part of that progress. He will ensure continuity and strong leadership as Inlet enters the next phase of its growth,” said Christoph Stehmann, Executive Vice President, International, SMB Solutions at Pitney Bowes. “Inlet is transforming the way businesses and consumers communicate and with Chris as CEO, they will continue to add to its network of billers, statement providers, and consumer destinations in order to accelerate digital connections benefiting businesses and consumers alike,” said Doug DeSchutter, President, Customer Communications at Broadridge.

Inlet has seen tremendous growth in 2017 with significant client successes across various industries including banking, credit card/retail, utilities, insurance, real estate, and telecommunications. Looking ahead to 2018, Inlet will ramp up the distribution of eBills that were previously not available to consumers through banks and credit unions across the country. Inlet is on the forefront of developing technology and partnerships that will enable and empower providers to expand their digital footprint, gain new marketing opportunities and optimize the communications they send today.

In recent years, Mr. Johnson has played a pivotal role in Inlet’s product and business development strategy and execution and led Inlet’s expansion into key financial institution partnerships. Prior to joining Inlet, Mr. Johnson was Vice President of Product Management at Pitney Bowes, where he managed innovation and design of Pitney’s innovative digital delivery offerings. He joined Pitney Bowes from Hearst Corporation, where he was Senior Vice President of Programming and Product Strategy at UGO Entertainment, and, earlier, Vice President for Content & Business Development at Hearst Magazines. Johnson held executive roles at IAC/Interactive Corp, America Online, and was a founding producer for The Washington Post's award-winning web site. He is a board director at the non-profit Saint & Streetfighter Foundation.

“We have grown Inlet from an idea to a full-blown technology platform with major clients across multiple industries,” Mr. Johnson said. “I am thrilled to take on the role of CEO and look forward to enhancing Inlet’s reputation as a trusted technology partner that enables our clients to strengthen their digital relationships, accelerate digital adoption, realize cost savings, and create a frictionless bill pay experience for consumers.”

In his new role, Mr. Cordray will continue to help shape Inlet’s business and product strategy, build client relationships and expand Inlet’s product offerings with its digital destinations. “Inlet was built on the premise that the way consumers receive, pay and store their most important documents has to evolve. We made incredible strides in building a technology platform that revolutionizes the way that bills and statements are delivered and as we head into 2018, Chris’ leadership will take Inlet even further,” Cordray said.
